Reducing Environmental Impact
At Adept we are committed to developing and adopting alternatives to traditional thermoplastics. These environmentally friendly alternatives are used where possible to help reduce the plastic waste created in the animal processing industry.
We have invested heavily in the development of ADSOL, our water soluble, degradable material made completely of food grade components. ADSOL is used in a range of our faecal plug products and has zero environmental impact.
Substituting ADSOL for standard thermoplastic prevents around 40 million plastic plugs being sent to landfill each year.
We continue to develop ADSOL with the aim of incorporating it into more of our product lines in the future to further reduce the use of plastic.
